Presented by Pierluigi Pugliese and Dirk Lässig
Abstract:
Organisational change fails more often than it succeeds – so say some – but why? When promoting change in an organisation, have you considered the conditions that allow change to take place in the first place and to be sustainable afterwards? This interactive workshop start from the Six Conditions for Change from the work of Clare Graves and expands with some related models, all with the target of mentoring the participants on using the learning in practice.
Note: the number of participants for this session is limited to 30
Format and length:
90 minutes interactive workshop
Intended audience and prerequisites:
Developers, managers, coaches and, more in general, whoever is interested in organisational change.
The session is perfectly accessible for beginners who will learn some very useful tools for promoting change. People with experience in organisational change and agile transitions will access a deeper learning by relating the “Conditions” to their previous work.
Objective(s) of the session:
- Introduce the very useful work of Clare Graves, currently not very much known (and often distorted in the popularisation made by some authors!)
- Give some very practical concepts on how to create an ecosystem that allows change in an organisation to happen and to be sustainable
- Give a framework to use these concepts in the field
Benefits for participants and presenter(s):
- The participants will learn how to use a new tool to assess whether an organisational change initiative (including a transition to agile) is based on the required conditions to succeed.
- I’m using this tool commonly and with success: this would be an opportunity to confront my ideas and my experiences to what the participants think.
